whats the set for full fmf powerbomb exhaust jetting

    by jc5057 » Fri May 09, 2008 5:08 pm

    I have a 07 450x

Ride at sea level to 3000 elavation

Opened up air box already cut side vents and removed snorkel

    45 pilot
    165 main
2 turns out on fuel srew

3rd position on needle which is a r needle ncvs 16233-men-671

I just added full FMF exhaust with power bomb header and fmf speed titanium muffler.

Noticed it breathing a lot more and seems to need a bit more on rich side as there is a little popping but not much.

Will dropping the clip one notch on the needle get her dialed in ? or turn the fuel screw outmore?

Any advise or wisdom is greatly appriciated.

I dont think you can rid 100% of the decel pop. I noticed on my last ride i have a little. You can open your fuel screw up a little more, dont go more than 2.5 turns. If so then you need to go to a 48 pilot. Which is a little rich IMO. AS runs a 48 and likes it. I run a 42 pilot, i may go back to the 45, but i like the responce of the 42 better..

Is your smog pump removed or disabled?

I have the fuel screw out at 2 1/2 turns now and it seems very good and crisp no popping or bogging.

Is there a chance the fuel screw could fall out I dont like it backed out that much as I heard it could fall out

Only if you go to like 3 turns or more. Probably even more than that. You are safe at 2.5 turns.
