    The way i originally set the bike up was a 158main, 55 leak and 48 pilot, ran great then began the popping on the last ride.

    Here's what i've done since, and the problem! JD kit red needle 4th clip, 165 main, 45 pilot, 70 leak. Major popping on the deceleration side. Also tried a 170 main, 48 pilot, and 55 leak. Same problem's. Also the bike has a whitebrothers' pipe, opened up air box.

    Any suggestions? Also the throttle/floating valve the little rubber piece between the too seems a little shrunk! :x

    Check for air leak at the header/manifold connection.

    Also where is the fuel screw adjusted in relation to the 45 or the 48?

    I have tried it a 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 out and have even tried adjusting it slightly rev'd up!!

    I had that same popping problem. ~ mentioned an air leak at the header manifold. That is exactly what was wrong with my X. You need to go purchase a $3 header gasket. That may help your problem. At least it helped mine. :D

    could it be from the smog pump??
