    needle tool

    Anyone ever replace the needle using something other than the "special CRF250x needle tool provided with the bike to remove the needle.

    I don't seem to have one of those...

    put a small piece of vacuum hose on the end of a phillips screwdriver and slide it on the end of the needle and walla.

    Thanks for the advise randman. I am going to try that. Any idea what size vacuum hose works?

    When you take off the top cover on the carb, roll the throttle all the way and the slide will bring the needle to the top. A pair of needlenose pliers will access it easily.
