jd jetting kit. pilot jet ?

    by ROBSCRF » Thu Feb 28, 2008 12:45 pm

can some one out there tell me why the directions that come with the jd kit, have you replace the stock pilot jet
(which is a #42) with a #42 from the kit.
a little confused and now questioning myself about pilot jet location...it is right beside the main jet right?
thanks in advance for your help.

Because all CRF250X's prior to 2007 came with a 40.

The 42 is much better so we convinced James Dean to include it in the kit.

    You must have a 2007...

DO YOU FEEL THAT A 160 MAIN JET IS THE RIGHT PLACE TO START ON THE JETTING?
    2007 CRF 250X....OPEN AIRBOX..OPEN EXHAUST...
QUICKSHOT2 ACC COVER.SCREEN REMOVED FROM THE AIRCLEANER.

    THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Yup. a 160 main would be correct, the red needle on the 5th clip, 42 pilot and fuel screw at 2 turns out.

did not need to. but i did anyway in order to install a quickshot 2 accelerator cover.and its lots easyer to work on the carb on a work bench..(i have had the carb off so many times that its easy now.
