My son has an 05 crf80. We put an FMF power core4 pipe on it & I took all the wire screen mesh of the filter body except the last big hole piece that forms the body of the filter core. I also cut the snorkel off. I tried to just raise the needle & adjust the air screw but it had a low end bogg going to 2/3 - full throttle from just off idle. It had a 95 main jet so I put a 100 in & it . It really didn't help w/ the bog no matter where I put the needle or how I adjusted the air screw. I'm getting a black plug & the off idle bogg. It runs good up in the revs but has that bad bogg down low & will cut off if you gun it & don't let off. It has a 35 pilot jet. Maybe I need to go up on that??? Thanx for any help/suggestions - I'm not much on the jetting theory obviously - Doesn't anyone have any suggestions on this????? It runs great if you gradually come on the throttle, you just can't gun it unless you are more than around 1/2 open.???HELP Thanx - David
