JD, White Bros or Tokyo for '06 250R?

    by Zhack » Sat Feb 09, 2008 12:12 pm

Looking for a good jetting solution to the '06 carb woes. Dealer recommended a WB over JD because of intake reducer sleeve. I have had a good experience with JD in my '04 250X but dealer said you NEED the sleeve that WB puts in the intake.

I also have an extra '06 carb that's been to Tokyo Mods in CA and back that I could use. I don't know what they do to them and I have no experience with them so I don;t know if that'd be the ticket.

    Can anyone help, please?

    Thanks

Tokyo mods carb. Nobody really knows what they do to them, but thats the setup everybody wants. The other kits are just a patch, Tokyo mods seems to have it all fixed up.

    Tokyo Mods

I have the Tokyo carb opened up on my bench next to a stocker. It looks like they shorten the "stump" on the AP diaphragm to give it more travel and a bigger squirt. The Leak Jet is a #60 (stocker is 55).

So far that's all I can see. Anyone know what else they do to them?

    Thanks

They probably time the AP Squirt and aim it, too.
South-Eastern Idaho sucks, so Californians should move somewhere else! :)
