    Jetting with a new pipe

    by Timboe59 » Thu Feb 07, 2008 1:53 pm

I am kind of new to the world of 4 strokes. I have an 06 CRF450R and recently bought a white brothers pipe for it. The instructions say to use a 158 main jet, but i feel this is to lean for the type of riding i do. i am racing in the US Desert Racing series in red mountain. Mostly 2500-5000 ft. does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Yeah, don't listen to the instructions from White Bros.

Way too lean. We use a 158 in a stock exhausted CRF 250X. I would think a 172 or 178 might be more fitting.

Do you think the JD Jetting kit would be a good idea?
