    looking for power up

    by npoirot » Wed Jan 30, 2008 10:57 pm

    hello,
does anyone can tell me where to buy on the net a power up jet kit for my honda crf 230 2004, I live in a pretty lost island in the pacific and the local honda dealer doesn't even know that the crf 230 exists (I import mine from Australia, sorry for my english it is not my language). I have a free flow air filter and a big gun evoX exhaust with the quiet vortex, any advice welcome for the power up jet kit mods (sea level and temperatures like Miami or Brisbane).
For the moment I didn't open up the air box, I'm waiting to find the powerup jet kit. Is this kit is usefull if I keep my quiet vortex. My engine run's well I just want little more horse power for hillclimbing but don't need more top speed, what are the good mods for it without risking to burn the engine.
I also wondering if the 428 drive train kit is a good idea for no speedy rides

Look at this site and contact these guys
    http://www.prohonda.com.au/site_prohond ... ccessories

The as dear as any Honda dealer but they do get the bits delivered on time.

Don't chop up the air box just remove snorkel and make sure there are no sharp edges on the hole thats left.

I use 132 main but think I will be going to 128 shortly. Go a 45 pilot jet.

    Mains 132
    Idle 45
    2 turns out
    Baffle out, Screens In

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas

    Thank you aussiecrf230,
Why do you want to change the main jet for a 128, you had some problems ?
thanks for the web site I'm gona ask them for the power up jet kit but do I have to tell them the size of the jets that I want or is it a standard kit or is there a range of jets in the kit?
Do you think I will have a gain in power without problems if I keep the quiet vortex (baffle) of my exhaust.
Any opinion about the 428 drivetrain conversion ?
