Fuel Screw Material and Jetting for CRF450R

    Dune,

    Most of the screws are made from brass, the screw part that is. The handle area can be different although I think many are aluminum. Haven't much heard of the brass wearing out. There are some excellent choices here on this site. I prefer the CRF's only fuel screw.

    The JD kit is excellent. Just follow the directions and your bike should be good to go. JD has excellent support so if you have any questions email or call.

    I will taking my first trip to glamis this year. Bringing CR500 and 4fidy, Let me know what jetting you ended up with. Also is your piston stock?

    What Luke said.
    JD tests every bikes year model he sells a kit for on the WinPeg7 dyno with exhaust gas temp and content analysis, pretty ough to find anyone not completely happy.
    However, the stock jetting on an 05 450R should be pretty darn good, I'd restore that , ride it and see what you think.
    The Crfonly fuel screw is outstanding.

    Shes a beuty eh? I agree the name and pic should be somewhere else. This is a site I allow my junior fundy to be on.
