    Clip Position on 150R

    by mikey526 » Thu Oct 18, 2007 8:10 pm

Is sticking with the needle clip at the 3rd position enough gas for temps 40-60 degrees? I guess the needle only controls medium low to medium speed accel., but will changing the clip position be enough or do I have to get a totally different main jet? It has all the same specs for 39-60 degrees as it does for 59-80 degrees. Any help would be greatly appricated

You'll have to monitor the reponse and change as needed - watch you plug burn and throttle responce,

There is not all god carb setup, different everywhere. If you not aware of this have someone help you tune your bike or you will most likely seize it up!

By the By - the main jet controls 3/4 to full throttle, the most likely area to get lean but the needle wil have large change effect at just one clip move and you right controls 1/4 to 3/4 throttle open response.

run, monitor, check, adj - that's carb tuning

The best suggestion - Make sure you have a manual!
