Ok. Heres the deal. It's starting to get a little cold here in Wisconsin.. Especially in the mornings! While right now the jetting on my bike is decent, there is a race I'll be doing the weekend before Halloween. I watched a video on motocross.com about how to change the main jet (I think) and it looked very easy. But.. the video was done on a CRF450. With the aluminum frame. It looked like all he had to do was remove the tank, seat, and shrouds and he could have access to the top of the carb by a split in the frame. On my 150 I think that the steel frame will be in the way... unless I tilt the carb? Would I still have to take off the seat and tank? Also, I'm assuming that all I have to do is pull out the jet and change the clip position. Sorry if the question is unclear. Ask if you have any questions.

the carbs are very similar so the procedure will be the same. the clip you referred to is for the needle not the jet. the jets screw out and if all you are doing is changing the main jet then you can do this by loosening the air boots on both sides of the carb and turning the float (bottom of the carb) towards you.

Sounds... easy. I'll have to get to that. Thanks for the quick reply, Ken, and by the way, is the Zip Ty fuel screw the best fuel screw? I remember someone saying in one of the forum topics that the Zip Ty was to short or something..

for the 150R, the CRF's Only, STR, Zip Ty, and White Bros fuel screws are all excellent. I'm partial to the brass versions (CRF's Only and STR) fuel screws as brass mated to aluminum is a better combination than aluminum to aluminum.
