    Quick Question Brown's camp oregon 450x

    It is 1:45 on a friday, I just got back from a 30 ish mile ride... I'm going riding again tomorrow and I want to fix my jetting.

    My buddy set my carb up for riding in the dunes so it is set for sea level. I rode today at brown's camp and it was very lacking. I'm going back out there tomorrow and I'd like to get it set up right. I'd like to hear what local people are using to ride out there.

    2006 crf450x
    WB XCR exhaust
    everything else stock.

    Help will be greatly appreciated.

    Not sure what folks are running over there, but just about everyone I've ridden with (450X) in So. Oregon (and Cali for that matter) is running the 165 or 170 main (JD Kit), with 45 or 48 pilot. That's assuming you've opened up the air box, removed the backfire screen, installed a twin air filter, and have an aftermarket pipe. Bog is gone and running great.

    Do a quick search and you can see just what folks are running.

    You don't need an aftermarket pipe with those settings, just a bafflectomy or removal.

    (translation... Cheapy, cheapy, cheapy!) ;)

    It rained here this morning! Can't wait for some roostin' tomorrow! (Got Mrs. Puk's CR80 forks installed, new dirt skins, bleeder valves, fork springs, seals, re-valved, new fluid -- Surprise for her b-day next week! Wonder how long it will take for her to notice the difference?)

    Why don't you head up sometime?

    The exhaust isn't for the performance, its for the bling factory :)

    I like the xcr because it keeps the dB's fairly low and still adds some performance gains.

    We got washed out this weekend. My buddies pansied out. I think we're going to try Upper Nestucca on Saturday. I'll make my jet changes and post up on how they work.

    I'll be running 165/45 main/pilot with no airbox modifications... Hopefully I still get good results. Part of me hates the idea of cutting up a new(ish) bike :)
