Hi folks,
I ride a completely stock 2007 CRF250R for MX only at sea level. Does anyone know if I put a Boyesen Quickshot 2 on it will it require a jetting adjustment to be jetted correctly? If so, what correction would be required?
thanks-luke

welcome to the group. before i would try the quickshot i would get it jetted correctly and do the accelerator pump mod. the easiest way to do both is get the jd jetting kit. this will likely get you where you want to be but if not you can then add the quickshot. we offer both in our online catalog.
good luck and again, welcome.

the bike is presently jetted correctly and i am not interested in a jetting kit. My question is: does the addition of a Quickshot change the jetting or is the accelerator pump operation considered separate from the jetting?

The 2007 CRF 250R uses the same accelerator pump assy as the 2007 CRF 450R. It was redesigned for 2007 to eliminate the problems that the previous models had and that the quickshot fixed.
Therefore the quickshot is not needed on 2007 models.
The accelerator pump works in conjunction with the jetting to make a smooth transition from pilot circuit to main circuit.

the stock 07 accelerator pump cover moved the check valve into the cover instead of the carb where it was before. this really didn't achieve the results that the boyesen quickshot achieves. it definitely will help but i still would do everything you can jetting and tying off the AP cam to the throttle cam. if you still have bog then get the quickshot.
