    Re-jet for powernow plus??

by woods dweller » Mon Jul 23, 2007 6:12 pm

I want to purchase the powernow plus system but need to know if jetting work will be required. I ride a CRF250x 2005. When I purchased the bike from another site Hillsboro OR

I threw in a Yoshamira Comp Series Pipe(no header) and had the snorkel removed on the air box. They changed out the main jet at this time. I have since then done no additional jetting and removed the screen on my Twin Air, air filter cage. I live in Eastern Washington and do most my riding in North Idaho at an elevation between 2200 and 5800 feet above sea level.

Please inform what jetting set you would recommend for my bike with the bad rear Power Now and Power Plus system.

Thanks for the time in helping me out.

Save your money on the Power Now and buy some Snake oil instead. It'll probably work better.

Experience of those who got burned by buying them.

    It's your $ 200.00.

If you want them, buy them.
Don't let me talk you out of it.

My opinion is that there are much better ways to spend your $ 200.00 that'll actually affect performance.

The answer to your question is no. You will not need to change your jetting. That should tell you that there will be no gains in performance.

What other mods have you done??

What jetting are you currently running?

Welcome to the fold Woods Dweller! :)

So far, as I recall, there has been but one person who claimed that he liked the low-end that the thought he was getting from a Powernow. The rest have been unimpressed.
I agree with Agent in that there are many other things you can spend your money on that will actually improve the bike's performance or handling (which makes you go faster).

Caveat Emptor! (which, in case you don't already know is Latin for "Let the buyer beware!".)
