    AP mod Question

    by TDW » Sat Jun 30, 2007 9:47 am

When doing that AP mod does the link adjustment need to be checked or changed before installing the oring, or just leave it adjusted the way it is? Also my bike has been setting there apart for 4-5 weeks, wondering if there is dried up or hardened gunk in any of the passages, I dont plan on completely removing the carb when putting in the jets or doing the oring ap mod. Thanks

Just put the O-ring on. As far as dried gunk; if you left the float bowl full, you may need to pull the jets and spray with carb clean and blow out passages with air. You may not. Any jet that will not be changed out should be removed and cleaned.

appreciate the input, I pulled the float bowl and it had alittle bit of gas left on the bottom but looked clean inside, I'll clean the inside of the carb as good as I can with carb cleaner. Thanks Joe
