    elevation issues

Well, it took awhile but I finally got my jetting down perfect. I was having an idle issue but after opening up the fuel screw a little more, it went by by and things were good. Final jetting was 158 main, 42 pilot, red needle 5th clip, and just a bit over 2 1/4 on the fuel screw. This was for riding all under 2000 feet.

Now I have a new problem. We went riding in Silverwood the other day and I am not sure on the exact elevation but I know it was over 3000. I had a horrible off idle bog and I couldn't seem to get rid of it. It got a little better when the bike warmed up, but was still a major issue. I tried advancing and retarding the fuel screw throughout the day but that didn't seem to work. I guess my question is this: Should I increase my jet sizes to 45 pilot and 160 main when I ride in increased elevations or should I be able to sort this out by other means? Thanks in advance for your input.

Typically when you rise in elevation, you would decrease the jet sizes, not increase. Air is less dense up high, so your jetting would move towards being too rich. Smaller jets would bring it back inline.

10-4. I will try to back off the FS a little first and see if that helps out any.
