Pilot jet size for 2004 crf250r

    by Eikka » Tue Mar 27, 2007 11:40 pm

My bike is stock except for the muffler.(SPES brand, same as DOMA)

    My jetting is:

    #165 main
    needle clip 4th
    #52 pilot jet (??)
Stock fuel screw and position(i have the WB fuel-screw waiting)

I bought the bike used, and i think the pilot jet is way too big, it kind of bogs when exiting tight corners.

I ride at 0-999m elevation, and the weather is anything between +10c to +30c.

What pilot jet size should i try? What is the stock size?

    Eikka,

That pilot is way too big!!!

Stock set up on the 2004 was:

    NCYR #4, 160 mj, 40 pj, 70 leak, 2 1/4 fs

I would go with a 45 pilot jet with the mods you are running.

I changed the pilot to #45, and installed the wb fuel-screw, but i still can't get smooth idle...? It is not bad, but not smooth like it should be.

Seems like it pulls better though. Any other suggestions?
