Jetting for an 06' CRF 250x with mods?

by Andy Duffus » Wed Feb 28, 2007 9:14 pm

I have an 06' 250x that I am building for riding here in Western Washington (Walker, Reiter, Belfair and Capital Forest) 0-500 feet. Usually in the 50-80 temp. range when we ride.I'm looking for recommendations on which jetting and settings to use. I have a JD jetting kit and I am waiting for a Power Surge kit. I've opened the top of the air box and installed a Twin Air Power Flow kit. I've done the Applied Racing vent re-route. When it goes back together it will have an FMF Power Bomb mated to a White Brothers E2 exhaust. Setting thoughts? Any other recommendations for best performance?

I would try the 162 main jet (you could get away with a 165) and a minimum 42 pilot. Red needle fifth position.
I have a similar setup, a 45-165 and she is running just fine. I bet you can hardly wait to cut loose with her... eh?

That's for sure. How far north of Seattle are you? We should think about a CRF's north country ride like the Cali boys do.

Duffas... I am 68 blocks north of the US border (about 3 hrs from Seattle) with wide open spaces, tonnes (tons) of single track, and countryside that you can only see up here... and in Seattle
    I would be in...

Halen, Sounds good maybe we should put something together North of the Border.
