Installed Pro Circuit T4 exhaust - need to go up on my main?

    by Socrates » Sat Jan 20, 2007 3:07 pm

Currently running a 45 pilot and 120Main on my CRF230.
Snorkle removed and baffle was out of my stock pipe.

Today I installed a Pro Circuit T4 pipe and I am bogging down on the high end of each gear.

Any suggestion on what size I should move up to on my main jet and should I make any changes to the pilot?

    Ride at 900 - 1800 ft elevation.

    Appreciate it

The pilot is plenty big enough.

The biggest main you will want to run is a 132.

What have you done needle wise??

Haven't started adjusting yet - wanted to get some ideas from everyone before I ordered a jet or two.
Wouldn't think it would make that big of a difference from a stock pipe no baffle to the Pro Circuit but it did...
Currently running the power up needle jet on the 3rd clip position.

It ran like a scalded ape with the stock pipe on.

The stock pipe is restrictive, I don't think the 120 is large enough with the Pro Circuit. I have a 132 which has worked well with the BBR pipe.

    If I were ordering two, I might try a 128 and a 132.
