    Jetting 2007 250X

    Hello All

My 2007 250x is a European spec. No air pump and no Anti smog kit. Haven't done a physical check, but my owners manual says:
    Main#132
Needle pos: 3rd groove from top
    Slow jet#42
Pilot screw: 1 7/8 turns out.

Anyone taken air pump and smog kit off their bikes, got jetting specs. I'm running at about 1000 to 1700`

None of the jetting posts can help me so far.

Modifications: Drilled the baffle with 11/16 hole

Get the JD Jetting kit available on this site. Worth every penny. The stock specs make the bike like a clogged up lawnmower. Use the kit and you will be amazed.

ibiro.. my 250X is pretty much like yours. No smog kit. It's a 49 state model. Not California model. See my post above.

Other than altitude, our bikes are pretty close. But you're at a slightly higher altitude than I am.

Get the JD Kit. But use a smaller main then me. #152 I think or something close.

Use the red JD needle at the 4th clip position. Your pilot circuit looks OK. Make sure 1-7/8 works best. I'd think maybe slightly less turns out since 1-7/8 works for me at sea level with a 42 and a wide open airbox.

If you can't get the JD kit, try the NCYS needle. Try 4th clip position.

And get a 152 main. 162 like I'm using is too big for a closed up airbox. Your 132 is too lean. Especially since you drilled the baffle.
