Ok finally got around to looking at clip position on the needle and someone had moved clip to the bottom position WTF so moved it to third position and no popping at all, yay very happy cheers fellas

That is the proper way to do it, one step at a time. Lowering the clip position one spot will add fuel [ enrich ] that 1/3 throttle point.

So looks like previous owner tried to richen it up by turning fuel screw out 3 and 3/4 turns and putting clip on bottom position well at least we fixed it in the end now to fix the silly speedo
