Passenger pegs

Just picked up a 2023 300L Rally the other day.
Did all of my usual preliminary checks to confirm that it would be a good fit for me...and it was...HOWEVER...I didn't think about the passenger at the time of the purchase.
My wife and I like to ride two-up...and before anyone pipes up with: "This bike isn't made for this...." or "get a bigger bike if you want to ride 2 up" understand that we put over 30,000 MILES together on the two TW200's that I've owned...so this one should be fine.
There's enough room on the seat, but the one thing I didn't expect, is that the footpegs are a bit too high and too far forward.
Has anyone fabricated something to compensate or does anyone have any ideas on how to overcome this minor but potentially major issue?
