Hi My CRF250R 2003 model has an issue
kick start isnt working anymore, what can i do?
also im trying to look at mods i can do to make it quicker any links would be greatful please...
also can i use the 2004 models for repairs and mechanical or do i have to be specific for CRF250R 2003 models...
Where can i find a copy of the PDF service manual?

You might want to look at the Vin number on the right side of the frame at the steering stem , the 10th digit is the year , which "should" be a 4 , which would indicate a 2004 model year , unless your bike is a 2 stroke , which would be a CR not a CRF

10th digit in vin is year:
1980/2010 = A ....1981/2011 = B ....1982/2012 = C ....1983/2013 = D ....1984/2014 = E ....1985/2015 = F

1986/2016 = G ....1987/2017 = H ....1988/2018 = J ....1989/2019 = K ....1990/2020 = L ....1991/2021 = M

1992 = N ....1993 = P ....1994 = R ....1995 = S ....1996 = T ....1997 = V

1998 = W ....1999 = X .... 2000 = Y .... 2001 = 1 .... 2002 = 2 .... 2003 = 3

2004 = 4 .... 2005 = 5 .... 2006 = 6 .... 2007 = 7 .... 2008 = 8 .... 2009 = 9

As for the manual , yes 04 is the correct manual , , the issue is most likely the kickstart gear located behind the clutch , it is gear and shaft assembly , shown below

I am just heading out to the MX track but will be back this afternoon depending on the weather , as it may rain on us , so I might be back sooner .... but I will post up pictures when I return , from the 04-09 Service Manual that will show you the procedure if that helps ....
