How To:Drain engine oil without mess (Recycle Part Solution)

There are a few ways to do this , from using a hose (fuel line , etc) stuck into the drain hole while leaning the bike to the opposite side , then tipping the bike back upright so the oil can drain , so the oil flows to your pan without getting on the frame

OR here is a new one i just discovered while messing with my bike , i have some old Fork Guards , and i noticed its shaped like a trough , so i stuck it under the ignition cover right under the bolt and it sits there on its own resting on the frame , angled down , so with the bike on the stand , you can still get a socket to the bolt , and drain the oil without the worry of it running all over your frame (in my case , this is especially helpful since i run a Devol full skid plate , so cleaning oil that runs down is extremely messy

That's a good trick I usually just hook a tie strap to my bike and to my truck and lean the bike on its side. I'm gonna have to try this trick out.
