    help this noobie on CRF450X

by the venturer » Sun Jan 06, 2013 11:49 am

Hello all. Just bought myself a brandnew CRF450X (2009 model). I ll be riding it this week but it will be my and its first ride with each other. The question is ''what things I have to change after my first ride or say 1000km or 10 hours?
Can you share changing intervals with me please? Thanks.

welcome to CRF's Only and congrats on your new 450X. the more you ride it the more you'll love it. first, is to make sure you break in the motor correctly:

next, make sure it is jetted correctly. if you have any off-idle bog/hesitation it is likely lean. this is the case for most of us. we have been very successful with the JD Jetting kit:

    Open up your airbox:

if you are not the honda target weight get the correct rated springs for your forks and shock. this will allow you to adjust the clickers to get your suspension working as designed.

there's much more you can do but this will get the bike broken in correct, jetted correctly and the suspension working.

    again, congrats and welcome!
