    YES!
Doesn't matter what kind of bike. If it went in...it'll come out.

    REMOVING MY ENGINE

by MARCUS BUNCH » Wed Aug 29, 2007 5:50 pm

I have a 2004 crf 450r, I've removed the complete sub-frame assembly, radiators, chain, exhaust, engine mounts ect. The swing-arm has been pushed up and out of the way, the engine is floating inside the frame and I've been trying to position it out without success. Am I missing something? Does honda build this engine in the bike? Maybe its something simple like removing a side cover or valve cover? Has any one actually removed their's complete on this model. I've done several two strokes but this is my first thumper.

Remove the CDI box and wires. Stand over the frame and pick up on the engine and then dip and turn the top (valve cover towards 11 o'clock.) The rear right side of the engine will start to come out. Now the exhaust port should be facing 9 o'clock. Re-grip it and tilt the valve cover down towards the ground and it will come right out the right side of the frame.
