    Front wheel replacement

Very basic I know, but I understand there is a proper sequence to tightening the axel nut and pinch bolts on the front wheel so unusual stresses are not placed on the front forks. Any suggestions?

Install the axel holder with the “up” mark, up. Loosely tighten the 4 holder nuts.
Grease and install the axel, torque for a 230 is 54 lbf.ft.
Hold the front break and pump the forks to set the axel.
Tighten the holder nuts. Torque for a 230 is 9 lbf.ft
