Has anybody fitted a motor minder to there bike?

I fitting one and want to know how others have fitted there's as the instruction say to wrap it around the coil wire, but the CRF has a coil on top of the plug system, the minder seems to get a signal easily, but was just interested on how others had fitted there's?

s1fter,

Try the motor minder site they are apparently one of the few that can deal with new pencil coils.

Not sure what a motor minder is but with my trail tech computer I wrapped the wire around the plug wire and it works great.

Cheers for the help.

Year sorry, "sellotape" situation here, with brand names instead of actual names.

It's an "Yamaha engine meter".

I have got it to work, as the "aerial" wire s very sensitive to high voltage, so I wrapped it around the top of the coil and it works fine.

I did not want to slide it past the rubber seal on the top of the coil, as that would of let water in. I can post a photo if anybody is interested?

I have now removed the meter and have fitted another wire to it (The aerial wire is just normal wire) and put it in my Pick Up to get some hours on it, as the bike has about 30 hours from new, and I want to get the meter up to around there.

Thanks for all your help.
