hooking up a trail tech computer on a 06 250x

fng here .. and first id like to say thanxx for the great forum and site.....the info found here and the access to all the goodies i need for my bike kick rear.. thx!!!!

i just bought the vapor trail tech computer .. i figured a good way to mount it to the stock odo. mount ...but im kinda confused and leary to mount the pick up deal.....the instructions arent to clear..
they say to drill a hole in the caliper or the bracket...but i dont really see a spot that would work out ..
i think i see a spot to tap a hole on the front of the fork on the bottom .. looks like it would line up to read the magntic bolt...
i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction...before i go drillin and messin somthin up .

    thxx in advance

    Drill it!

FNG, I did the same thing, The hole does need to be drilled just behind the fork on the brake arm. Position the magnet on the disc first, then rotate your wheel to see where the sender meets the pick-up. Markit with a sharpie and drill. It's a pain in the rear but the results are worth it. I ended up pulling my brake arm to drill it if, I remember right. Take your time. Put your bike on a stand and have someone help you slowly spin the wheel until you get the position right. Are you taking off the old speedo gear at the other side of your axle? If so, CRF's only sells a most bitchin spacer (flatland)? I put one on mine, very clean look.
Good luck, Let me know how it goes.
Send me your e-mail address and I'll send a photo.
There's something... out there, There's something... on the wing!!! SOME...THING!!!??

    Just ordered my Vapor,
If you are still running your stock front tire, what tire size value did you use to set up your speedo? Also, what did you put in for your temperature warning and danger values?
