    Thanks, Ike. I'm pretty sure I know what/where you're talking about and I've been following that thread myself.

    Anyone a skeptic???

    Check this out! Fresh out of my freezer.

    - Took the header off last night.
    - Added water (did not end cap the pipe or anything).
    - Placed in freezer.
    - Woke this am to a near perfect repair!

    Here's the photos in that order;

    I'm convinced. I lost my rear break pedal pivot bolt this last Saturday so I'm out for a bit till the new one gets here. You should have seen me the first time I went for the rear brake and it was floping all over the place. According to my son, it was a pretty funny scene from the back.

    I'm gonna take the header off and give it more time. I figure I have at least a week's worth to work with it.

    Thanks for the pics...it gives me hope for mine.

    As long as it's not the exhaust off of your Datsun B210... heck ya! hehehe....

    Pipe #2 is in the freezer...
    It's the same type FMF Ti header... however one I dented last year and hung on my wall in my garage. At $250 a pop... it's worth a try!!

    This one is worse.
    Pipe is out of round, and more or less crushed. See pics;

    Will this freezing application remove the dents from a crf450x header?...or does it only work on titanium headers?

    I don't know for sure,But it doesn't cost anything to try.

    if it does work, Let us know.

    Several of us here have done this on a stainless steel header pipe; but never on a titanium one. I ride the 450r.

    Most definetly. depending on the dent size and area will depend on the amount of water and the time you leave it in the freezer. And how cold your freezer will freeze the water. The longest I've heard of so far is 2 1/2 days in.

    i have done this with my pipe, i didnt fill it, just filled enough to have the water approx 2 inches up the pipe on each side of the dent, no plugs required. i put it in the freezer with the bend at the bottom, and let it freeze. only the dent came out. it didnt come clear out the first time so i did it twice more, and now it is gone. i would try it but dont fill the pipe
