G'day,
I own a 2014 crf450r with 2012 crf450r forks. Fork & shock needs to be sent away for servicing.
A friend is selling 2013 crf450x.
Am i able to put the 450x forks & shock into the 450r whilst others are away getting serviced?

Unfortunately the 12 and 14 forks are 48mm , the X forks are 47mm , so unless you swapped triple clamps , they would not work , and they are different length .... the shock will most likely be the wrong length as well due to the clevis length (where the shock hooks to the linkage) so handling would be sketchy at best ..

So to answer your question directly , the forks you "could" make work by swapping complete trees and forks (not sure on stem differences) and not sure what the overall length difference is , but they are different , but I have never measured them to tell you the exact difference , and the shock is most likely a No due to the overall length as well ....
