I've got a broken dampener rod on my 09 crf450x. The whole inner cartridge from a 07 crf450r is on ebay right now. Honda shows different part numbers, but could a guy make the part off the 450r work?

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

What I would do is message the guy and have him measure the length from the Rebound Nut to the end of the threads/rod , as far as I can remember it is the same length , other than that it should go right in , if he had 2 then you would be set , but I am fairly sure they are the same length , they changed length thru different years , and I can't remember which years , but it was only about 1/4" or so ...... , so you might not notice it too much , what would happen if they are different length , is when you assemble the fork , one may have to be a couple mm up or down in the clamp to make the difference up , but as long as you never bottom out fully , it would not be noticed much otherwise , the difference in when the valving opens would be minimal and should not affect the ride quality ...

Sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the advice.
