I have an 06 crf250r that has 6hrs since new. The upper part of the fork chrome is streaking on both sides near the dust seals( not anything you can feel with a fingernail, but not anythng that will come off either), the bushings couldn't possibly be worn yet and causing this could they?

If your saying New Old Stock ,06 , then i would guess the seals are dried out from sitting , and that is where your getting the streaks , in time from use , its normal to get small streaks , just from the friction of the rubber seals rubbing on the tube , if its consistent all the way around the tube , then that is most likely the issue , as long as there is no gouges , then i would not worry too much , but with such low hours i highly doubt the bushings are worn
What i would do , is when you are done riding for the season , you should do a fork/shock maintenance anyway , since the oil will be trashed from the suspension parts breaking in , so then would be a good time to replace the fork seals , both dust and fork seal come in a kit from Honda for like $40 or so , i would recommend getting OEM seals , i have had the best luck with them for fitment/leaks
The procedure is in the Factory Service Manual , and is relatively easy , and it will give you a chance to look over the wear parts , like bushings and decide if you want to replace them while you have it apart , but you should get a couple seasons out of bushings if you keep the oil refreshed regularly , you will need to find someone to re-charge the shock Nitrogen unless like me , you have your own Nitrogen tank/gauges setup (about $250) , most shops will re-charge your shock for $10 or less , and it takes less than 20 seconds to do it , it takes longer to air up a tire than to charge the shock , pssst , and your done

Thanks, those were my hopes. Going to swap out the seals with some skbs and take a look at the same time.
