I have a 2004 CRF 450. I am going to replace the floating piston seal on the fork cap assembly. I have read a couple of post on here about the damper seals. I am replacing the damper piston rod seal, and I am going to replace the floating piston seal also. I have read it is aggravating to change the floating piston seal. How do I disasemble the fork cap assembly to get to the floating piston seal. I have the #10 nut off, removed the contour washer and light-weight spring, but the valve does not want to slide off over the threads. And if it comes off in that direction?
Thanks for any help, Mike
