Ok, I must be brain dead or something, becuase for the life of me I cant figure out how to take these things off of the fork cap. It doesnt look like you take of the valve stack so I'm guessing the actual cap comes off, Its not in my manual and I dont wanna dick it up. Anybody? Bueller? bueller

You need to hold the base valve with a pin spanner and loosen the nut that you can see through the spring. It requires a very thin wrench to make it between the coils. That nut is also locktite'ed so it's a bear.
