Race Techs Cartridge Emulators are said to be the hot ticket for the 230 forks.

Does Race Tech not recommend doing both the stiffer springs and the emulators?

I believe that is true. My suggestion would be to contact them directly for the full scoop on tuning your suspension. Don't forget that when you fix the forks you should also fix the rear shock to balance the suspension.

I know this topic is stale, but I would like to add what I learned from upgrading my 150F with BBR Springs. Lots of help, didn't bottom out when jumping. I wasn't heavy enough to help the dampening and it created a little bit of problems with rebound.

I bought a set of cr500 forks with the triple clamps off of ebay for 100 dollars, they were in great shape and already had spacers attached on the steering stem and bolted right up but did have a little play. they worked much better though. i did also put a works gasser shock in the back and a new suspension linkage to make it sit higher. there is a 230 project bike on www.offroad.com they show you how to make all types of forks work with it and show how to do pretty much anything to the 230
