    Rear Suspension Question

    by poway450 » Sun Dec 16, 2007 7:54 pm

When i come across a set or whoops or hard corner my rear end has a tendency to kick out to the right or left unless i sit on the rear fender. Besides revalving is there an adjustment i can make to keep this from happening. Im 6'5 200lbs riding a stock suspension on a 06 crf450r
06 CRF450r Rad braces, Endo Cap, did x ring quad chain and renthal sprockets, UNI Air Filter, Twin Wall Bars and Universal Top clamp set. SS valves.

I "believe" if you slow the rebound down a click or two it should help the kicking.

If bike is kicking laterally, I would also try death-grip with knees and lower legs.
Bike will flop around severely (whoops) if not controlled with lower legs, plus this relieves stress on arms/wrists.

:o Well being that I am 6'3 and a lil I can relate bro... As far as the bike kicking out from side to side its all lower body control and pulling hard on the bars toward your chest 8) But having your butt on the rear fender, its gonna happen unless you are goon riding, Whenever I finish any moto that was muddy I have a nice clean spot about 6 inches back from the seat on the fender, its just because we are tall, nothing wrong with scoooootin back that far
