    too soft fork (crf150)

    by ship_killer6666 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 6:54 am

On my crf150F 2004, the front fork is REALLY soft, I can almost hear it "bang" when i drop 1 ft!!

the seal aren't leaking, I wanted to know if there is a cheap way to make my fork harder (with air or something)

    thank you

ps: sorry if my english is .

First pull the forks from the bikes by loosening the triple clamp bolts and sliding the legs out. Then remove the caps from the forks and pour equal amounts of Honda SS-8 10W fluid in ($7). Its trial and error after that reassemble the forks and put them back in the bike and then test. Repeat the process until the forks are at the level you like.

also you dont have to take the forks off you can just use a wrench to get the top off and add the oil

its not good to put too much i just put too much and did a small jump and it feels like im bottomig out again bec my forks cant move up so now instead of being too soft theyre too hard but i took some out and now they are stiff but can still move a full stroke under a lot of pressure
