No problem , and it will look intimidating at first , but once you do it you will wonder why you never tried doing it sooner , even the shock is fairly straight forward , the only issue with it is recharging the Nitrogen , i ended up biting the bullet and got my own bottle and gauges (about $250) , but now i dont have to worry about finding a shop open when i want to take apart the shock then recharge it , and when i change oil in the forks i can now do the shock at the same time , and you only need a few specialty tools for the most part , the bottle being 1 of them

but if i cant walk you thru things ,(which i usually can for assembly or technical issues and such) then theDogger definitely can , he can pretty much tell you what shims to run and where in the stack to put them , the guy needs to open a shop , because he knows more than most anyone in suspension i have dealt with , especially since he does not do this for a business , that just amazes me (you talk to him on the phone and it dumbfounds you at the knowledge he has amassed in such a short time doing this stuff)

I read through about half of "The Thread" last night. Feel like the guy in the commercial with the kids..."What about infinity TIMES infinity?" (Boom - mind blown)...
The forks seem easy enough once you have a starting point for your shim stack, but the shock seems to have a few more fiddly tricks with the bladder and bleeding air bubbles. Oh well, time to get busy.

The shock is not that bad , basically you are kind of burping it , watch these they will explain it easier than just text

So I tore into the base valve. Still waiting on the seals for the floating pistons. Once I started dicking around and researching valving, shim stacks, and tuning my own suspension, I decided to dive in head first. Ordered shock and fork springs, will have replaced all the seals and theDogger is helping me figure a good baseline starting point for shim stacks. Man that guy really knows his stuff and is unbelievably generous with his knowledge. Much thanks for all the help Jim. You guys have probably saved me $300 or more AND I've learned enough about suspensions in the last three days to start getting this bike setup properly. I'm curious to see how good it can be.

No problem , glad to help , and yea theDogger is the shiznit , like i said , he should have his own shop as he knows more than most shop tuners , he has really opened my eye's as to what can be done , and how just a few changes can make such a huge difference in how the bike works , and i cant put into words how much he has helped me to get to where i am with tuning and understanding suspension , and i don't know 1/50th of what he has figured out

Sometimes talking to him on the phone is so mind boggling at how he can listen to what you say the bike is doing or what you want it to do and he just spouts off a stack change , or says what you need to do is blah blah blah , and your like , how did he figure that out so quick ?

Next you will be buying a Nitrogen bottle and some gauges and a tire inflater valve , and recharging your own shocks
