    by taylorrep » Tue Mar 02, 2010 3:34 pm

Gordon Central High School done this testing on Maxima products the teacher is a friend of a friend and an all around nice guy. I just thought some of you smarter than me mechanic types (Agent) may find this interesting.

So I see they used the 530mx, is that the same as the ultra4 besides the viscosity?

    Rotella T

There's always someone who thinks they've found the Holy Grail  .
Maxima uses ester synthetic, which of the three types of synthetic oils is the most expensive and the best performing, It has the highest affinity for 'hot spots' in the engine, can get the hottest and maintain it's lubricating quality, it has the quickest performance at cooling down the hot surfaces in comes in contact with. Maxima doesn't 'make' ester synthetics, they have to buy the stocks and then formulate their own product from there just like all the companies do with their Group 4 and whatever the third and cheapest synthetic stock is.
It is an outstanding product and no truck oil that just happens to work good enough that the engine runs okay is anywhere close to it. Doug

Your right! Just because Rotella T works in a turbo diesel making 36# of boost pulling a 20,000# toy hauler for over 400,000 miles with no thermal break down, does on mean it will work in a naturally aspirated 450cc four stroke motorcycle.
