Flatlands Skid Plate and Radiator Guards

Ordered a set of radiator guards and a skid plate from here (CRF's Only) last friday and they came in today (Tuesday) and are on the bike.
First the skid plate. So simple it didn't need instructions. Was mounted in less than 10 minutes. Fit perfectly. So easy to mount, it should be just as easy to remove when servicing the oils.

Second, the radiator guards. The instructions could use some better pictures (larger) and marking the guards left and right would be nice. The notches are different top and bottom for triple tree clearance. So laying one in position and turning the bars tells you which way to mount it.
They fit and aligned with all the mount points perfectly.
I'm never happy when I have to trim my plastics for anything, but I fall over a lot so they get damaged anyway. The shrouds HAVE to be trimmed to fit. The instructions say to trim 1/4" off as per the picture. This is another place where a larger picture would help. They don't need to be trimmed the entire length. Just about half the rib needs to be removed to 1/4" then tapered up to the top.
I used a dremel with a sanding drum to remove the bulk and then smoothed up with a spoke shave. Really made it go quick and not much chance of cutting yourself.

Had no trouble mounting the guard. There was plenty of clearance to get sockets and wrenches to all the mount points. The bolt. washer, spacer for the lower mount went right in with no difficulty.

I'm very happy with the service, fit, value and quality of the parts. Can't hardly wait until this weekend to go try 'em out. (Did I mention I fall a lot?!)

I found the trimming of the shrouds to be the most difficult part of the install, and that wasn't bad at all. I really like my rad guards.

Got to try out the skid plate on Wednesday. It did a great job of protecting everything when I planted the bike on a rock edge coming over a crest. Nice scrape and dent on the plate and NO damage to the bike!
    Worth every penny!
