I personally use Paul Turners Battery Tender Junior by Deltran. What's good enought for PT is good enough for me! (Sorry, Paul, I promise I'll bring it back! )

Two years of constant operation, charging 3 to 4 bikes at a time (rotation), and flawless performance.

You just get extra cables (fused ring connectors) and you have easy access to plug in the charger to different vehicles.
Incidentally, I haven't had to buy any batteries , not for the daughters quad,the wifes TTR or my X or BMW.
We have long winters in northern Ohio and I give the credit to this charger. Doug

Just remember lead-acid batteries like to remain fully charged all the time ... so get a battery maintainer, that automatically detects a drop in voltage and tops it up. They're safe to permanantly leave connected to the bike and usually come with a variety of leads including some which you leave permantly on the bike allowing an easy attach point to your battery.

Don't use a trickle charger, as they are only designed to charge totally flat batteries and then be disconnected. They can damage/over charge your battery if left connected and forgotten about.

That's sure not the case with this one, it's been flawless and I haven't replaced one battery it's been used on. It is an outstanding product and you can leave it on for months !

Yes that's they type of charger I recommend, it's NOT a trickle charger ... basically these 'chargers' are really battery maintainers and designed to be left connected to the battery for long period of time.

When I bought my '06 450x in Australia, a GENUINE Honda 900 mah battery maintainer came with it which was a decent unit as well (if you want genuine dealer product )
