    ASV Clutch and Brake Levers

    by CRFthumper07 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 12:10 pm

Is it really worth getting the ASV levers? I bent my clutch lever and love the look of the ASV levers and how they bend all the way back but kinda high for the clutch w/ hot start.

Do you think I should just get a stock lever or go ahead and spend the money on red ASVs?

Spend the money. I did have a warranty claim and ASV stood tall and sent me a whole new asm. Worth the cheese!!

If I had the extra cash burning a hole in my pocket I would get them. For now I got the works connection rotating bar clamp and made sure my probends were in the right place. :)

I'm going to go ahead and get them but should i get the clutch lever w/ the thumb hot start or just not have a hot start lever anymore? Is it worth the extra money for the hot start?

For you people without the magic button on the right side I would suggest having one. :)

kind of redundant if you run some bark busters....
but if not, fully worth the dough in my opinion. I've got both sides, clutch with the hot start. Now it's just too bad my grips don't hold up anywhere near as well as the levers! :P

on another note, I'm just curious, what is the difference between the two models they have, the F3 and the something... 5?

Just get the one without the perch. It bolts on to the stock setup.

I'd rather put the money towards handguards that would also save the levers, however I will say that ASV makes a great product and stands by it. My friend's kid broke his at Red Bud last year and luckily ASV was there. Some tech rode his bicycle out to the amateur pits and fixed it for free. Then the poor guy had to ride up hill about 1/2 mile. That was impressive service!

Maybe they can make grips!! The difference in the 3 and the 5 is the years of warranty coverage. 3 and 5 respectively!

Wow, those are pricey. I just purchased a brand new set of Outlaw levers (brake and clutch, no hot start) for 13 bucks on ebay... I only needed the clutch, but it was such a good deal!

Been meaning to get the gaurds for a while, I just cant find the nice sturdy ones that look nice... I guess there is a trade off somewhere in there...

What is soo special about the ASV levers??

They bend out of the way when you take a digger, and the clamp rotates to prevent damage. Pretty sweet if you ask me!

I run the C5 pro models on all my bikes and let me say that not only is it a great thing to have in a crash or tip over but the FEEL of the clutch and the adjustability of the pro model are just second to NONE. So if you ride alot,or crash alot, this will be the best investment yet.

i have F3's on my bike and think they are well worth what they cost, they have certainly allowed me to keep riding after a few off's. Nothing worse than ruining a days riding with a broken clutch lever!!! Not got the rotator clamps yet but will get them, until then just keep them loose enough to move.

If you haven't already, you should check out their ebay store:

    http://stores.ebay.com/ASV-Inventions

They have refurbs/blems and if you time it right you can get a bargain on both levers and tools! I equipped my daughter's bike with both levers and a rotating clamp for under $50 including tax and shipping. ;)

GREAT site! That's where I got mine. Stumbled on it by mistake.
