i went this route because at this point in my riding, i don't need the extra performance or cost of a full system, the money can be better spent elsewhere(like suspension or a Rekluse). although the instillation seems pretty straight forward and simple, it ended up taking an hour or 2 and got me very frustrated. first off, the instructions make no reference to the silicone that holds the tip on at both the end and the base. after drilling out the rivets, i spent a good half hour beating, prying and heating the endcap trying to get it off. i ended up working two small screw drivers all the way around the base of the endcap to break the silicone seal, at that point it finally popped off. next came the sawing, which they claim can be done with a hack saw. in reality, you can get nowhere near close enough to the weld between the tip and core tube to get that free. so after all that sawing, i ended up having to use a circle cutter just bigger than the weld to drill out the the hole. after that the reassembly was a breeze, put endcap in with silicone sealant, drill and rivet in place. now knowing what needs to be done, i am sure it can be done in 20 min. i noticed no difference in throttle response or sound output, and had no problem getting throughout the rangers checkpoints. overall i am happy with the product, its just a bit more difficult to install than they make it out too be.

    p.s. bike is a 07 CRF450R
