    tool bags

    by sc409 » Sat Mar 10, 2007 5:39 pm

Any recommendations on tool bags, ride Mexico each week, mostly dirt trails, and rocks. Would like to bolt a small tool bag on the back fender.

    Check this out:

Seems like a good bag, and for $29.95 a good bargain. I wish they had a photo of it opened, but I'm sure a call to their 800 number would help. Good luck.

Just got mine in from crfs only, it's a kdx ballistic rear
fender pack. A little more money for this pack but it's
baha tested. Go to dirt-bike-gear.com and you'll find
a link that reviews their product. For a picture of it on
    a 450x see my Garage (randman1). It's a perfect sized
    and fitted bag.

Remember it's not how well you ride, it's that you ride!!!

    randman1,

Nice tool bag, I checked out your garage and signed into your guestbook.

Could you post photos of the bag opened?? :-)

Type in "Honda tool bag" on ebay search.
Malibu motors? Red with the honda logo.
You will have to come up with your own mounting system. I used two thin plates, one under the rear fender and one inside to bag and two locking nut and bolts through the fender. I also mounted a D ring strap inside the the bag to keep the tools tight inside the bag. See my pic. I liked the bag on the XR 650 so I copied the look.

    Tool Bags

    by sc409 » Wed Apr 11, 2007 8:24 pm

Hey, thanks for all the tips from all, I bought the Moose bag, solid base, with grommets, 1/4" holes with good locking nuts and a tie down on top. A bigger bag than I thought, but I can fill it with first aid, tools, tubes, protein gu, etc. tow strap, etc. Haven't installed yet, want to make sure I don't kick it off loading my leg at 5'10''

    Ride Mexico exclusively K40 - K50

    450x rocks

    thanks again
