i use the cycra plate on my X and it works great...i keep extra zip ties in my tool box so i can take it off and put it back on. it takes three zip ties. there are two types of these number plates...full and half vented. the half vented will help with air flow to the radiators.
the starter is pretty heavy but is not easily removed.
after market triple clamps weight less and are more rigid making for more percise steering.
talon hubs and excel rims are weigh less than stock wheelsets. these are expensive but not only will you shave weight but you'll also gain strength. plus unsprung weight savings is worth double the weight savings.
aftermarket plastics also weigh less.
more exotic things are a titanium subframe (i'm working with a company to produce one for the X as well as an aluminum version), titanium footpegs, titanium bolts and nuts, etc.
