    2005 crf450x turnedinto a r

    by shifte72 » Sat Feb 16, 2008 9:12 pm

I have seen on here some thing about cutting a Pink wire ? were is it. on the black box ? and what does it help do? I have made my X into a R with 22mm triple trees a R leak jet, power now, pro circuit ti4 slip on mb1 suspension. and a victor cam. I have a 08 450 black R now. I love it but i would like to get my X to cost more. it seems the engine brake's more on the x then the R .could it be the black box is retarding the timing? vers the r box? the x would be the same as the 08 r if i could just get more free costing into the turns you just have to stay on the gas or it decelerate so much .

My understanding is the R has a longer stroke by like 1 mm, different valvetrain and more agressive cam.

Same bore and stroke, essentially same valvetrain.

The cams are MUCH more aggressive.
