    450x stock stabilizer

    by TCROWTHER » Sat Oct 12, 2013 10:06 pm

I have an '05 450x that has no stabilizer. I am wondering if the stock stabilizer from the newer 450x's will fit the 2005. I can get one cheap but I want to be certain it will fit. Any info would be appreciated.

Stock one is crap, get a GPR or Scotts and it will work much better for you...

welcome TCROWTHER to CRF's Only. Matt is correct, for off-road use the stock HPSD is not effective. While we offer both the GPR and the Scotts, and I have run with both for years, I recommend the Scotts. They come in many configurations so if you have questions feel free to ask.

    Again, welcome.

yeah gotta agree the stock stabilizers arnt very good i put a grp stabilizer on mybike and love it i have the under bar mounted one works great and easy to make adjustments on the fly. my only complaint is i thought the mount that goes around the steering stem didnt really clamp down all that tightly and i still had some play in it so i got rid of that and had a local fab shop weld a piece onto my frame for the stabilizer to connect to
