No more keyed Barrel. Just a 'Go" button?

    Hi all,

Once again thanks heaps for helping me out with questions that i have.
I am a newcomer to the site and the amount of information contained on here and the expertise is amazing.

I am going to go with some brp Triple clamps (not sure about 22mm or 20mm yet but thats another topic)
which will mean i don't need the key barrel mounted on the front.

Are there any good aftermarket options where i can just re-wire a starter button on the bars and lose the keyed barrel or does this create problems?
I am losing the front light and just going to a number plate so the light won't be drawing power from the battery constantly?

    The 450x is sensational btw.
Best bike i have ever ridden.
Dialing it in to my height and weight now to make it even better.

    :D :D :D

Where are you located? All the U.S. models don't come with a Key switch, they have a start button that's next to the throttle with a switch that operates when the clutch is pulled in. However I have added a Key switch to mine for security purposes from Baja Designs... If yours is a aftermarket switch then i'm sure it can be bypassed. But if it's an OEM switch then I would check your wiring diagram from where you live.
