Preferred route to go to go no backfire screen air filter?

Alright, i've always looked at my backfire screen on my stock filter cage and debated taking it out. Yes, I do have the Twin Air backfire resistant filter. I see No toil makes a full kit without the screen etc. This No toil kit is 1/3 of the twin air aluminum power flow kit. I'm curious if it's basically like OEM (once the screen has been removed)? If i'm already jetted for exhaust, no smog, and cut airbox, will this make any difference jetting wise?
